Atrium Therapeutics earned another $15 million milestone payment from Bristol Myers Squibb based on the successful delivery of a compound targeting an undisclosed cardiology indication.
The payment is pursuant to Atrium's global licensing-and-research partnership with BMS, the biopharmaceutical company, which focuses on RNA therapies for the heart, said Thursday.
Under the terms of the agreement, Atrium is eligible to receive up to $1.35 billion in research-and-development milestones payments, as well as up to $825 million in commercial milestone payments.
It is also eligible for royalties of up to a low double-digit percentage of net sales. BMS will fund all future clinical development, regulatory and commercial activities coming from the collaboration.
