945 ET - Target during the recent quarter completed its highest volume of in-store transitions in the past decade, CEO Michael Fiddelke says on a call with analysts Wednesday. He attributes the increased transaction volume to the retailer's focus on merchandising authority and efforts to elevate the guest experience. Under its turnaround strategy, Target has rejigged the layouts of its grocery assortments, as well as replaced nearly three-quarters of its decorative accessories and home furnishings assortments. The changes are making the company a destination for new, trendy and culturally relevant goods, helping to boost sales, Fiddelke says.
