Sembcorp Industries (SGX:U96) is preparing to file for an initial public offering of Sembcorp Green Infra, its Indian unit, planning to raise around $500 million, Bloomberg report Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The energy and urban solutions provider is slated to submit draft documents this month, the report added.

The company is said to be working with multiple advisors on the proposed share sale, with size and structure of the deal could change, the report added.

This will be the Indian unit's second attempt to go public, after initially withdrawing from a 2018 application, the report noted.

Sembcorp Green has more than 75 renewable energy assets across 18 states and boasts 7.6 gigwatts of capacity, the report said.

Sembcorp Industries did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
