Guangxi Huaxi Nonferrous Metal's (SHA:600301) net profit attributable to shareholders for the first half rose 40% to 533.8 million yuan from 381.9 million yuan a year earlier, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Tuesday.

Earnings per share jumped 40% year on year to 0.844 yuan from 0.604 yuan.

Operating revenue increased 9% to 3.04 billion yuan from 2.79 billion yuan in the previous year.

The non-ferrous metal company's shares fell nearly 3% during the afternoon trade.
