Stocks to Watch: La-Z-Boy, Pilgrim's Pride, Keysight Technologies

La-Z-Boy swung to a loss in its fiscal first quarter from an unexpected decline in sales. The furniture maker also gave a sales forecast for the current quarter below Wall Street's current estimates, and warned that its near-term investments could pressure its margins. Shares slid 18% to $33.69 in late trading.

JBS submitted a proposal to Pilgrim's Pride to acquire the rest of the poultry producer's shares it does not already own. The world's largest meatpacker, which currently owns about 82% of Pilgrim's common stock, said the proposal would give shareholders exposure to a larger and more diversified global business. If the deal closes shares of Pilgrim's common stock would be deregistered and no longer quoted on the Nasdaq. Pilgrim's shares ticked up nearly 9% to $31.00 in after-hours trading.

Keysight Technologies profit and revenue grew in its latest quarter, helped by higher commercial communications sales, and the company guided for fourth-quarter results that topped Wall Street estimates. The stock rose 2.7% to $350.22 after hours.
