East Money Information's (SHE:300059) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first half climbed 45% to 8.06 billion yuan from 5.57 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Shenzhen bourse filing on Saturday.

The Chinese financial information company's shares rose 1% during Monday's morning trade.

Earnings per share rose year on year to 0.51 yuan from 0.35 yuan.

Total operating revenue jumped 53% to 10.5 billion yuan from 6.86 billion yuan in the previous year.
