Hansa Biopharma (HNSA) said Friday it confidentially submitted a draft registration statement to the US Securities and Exchange Commission for a potential initial public offering of American depositary shares in the US.

The company said it also plans a potential concurrent private placement of ordinary shares in Europe.

Hansa intends to list the ADSs on the Nasdaq under the symbol 'HNSA' while maintaining its existing Nasdaq Stockholm listing, the company said.

Hansa Biopharma said the size, timing and price range of the offering have not been determined, and the IPO remains subject to regulatory review, market conditions and investor demand.
