Goertek's (SHE:002241) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first half rose 3.5% to 1.47 billion yuan from 1.42 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Shenzhen bourse filing on Friday.

Earnings per share increased year on year to 0.42 yuan from 0.41 yuan.

Operating revenue climbed 6.7% to 40 billion yuan from 37.5 billion yuan in the previous year.

The optical instruments manufacturer's shares jumped 6% during the afternoon trade.
