Shanghai Sinyang Semiconductor Materials (SHE:300236) will increase investment in its Shanghai Chemical Industry Park project to 1.05 billion yuan from 580 million yuan.

The originally planned annual capacity of 10,000 tons for photoresist thinner series products will be adjusted to 5,000 tons per year, according to a Friday filing with the Shenzhen bourse. A new capacity of 5,000 tons per year for chip copper interconnect electroplating solution series products will be added.

Construction will start in September, with completion in June 2028 and production by the end of 2028.

Shares of the electronic materials company were down 7% Friday.
