Braskem (BAK) said in a filing Thursday that discussions with creditors over a potential restructuring have intensified, but remain ongoing, with no decision reached yet on the terms.
The company said it has received indicative, non-binding proposals from creditor groups, including possible capitalization and granting of security interests over assets as collateral, according to the filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Braskem said the proposals remain under review and that it is evaluating measures to protect against creditors following the expiration of the stay of enforcement actions, while ensuring continued operations.
Braskem shares were down 1.7% in early trading Friday.
