SpaceX's (SPCX) Starlink has been granted a 10-year license to provide satellite broadband services in the United Arab Emirates, news outlets reported Friday, citing a statement from the government.

The Gulf News cited the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority as saying the license allows the company to build, operate and manage a public high-speed telecommunications network using satellites.

Starlink will be permitted to provide satellite internet services to individuals, businesses and government offices, the report said.

Services will be subject to UAE security, reliability and consumer-protection requirements, according to the news outlets.

SpaceX did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
