President Donald Trump announced on social media platform X on August 27 that Micron Technology will invest $10 billion in new research and development labs in the United States, focusing on artificial intelligence and advanced computing. Trump said this investment, combined with Micron's previous $250 billion commitment, will create "tens of thousands of Great American Jobs."

"GREAT NEWS! Micron, one of the 'HOTTEST' Companies in the World, just announced a MASSIVE 10 BILLION DOLLAR Investment in new Research Labs right here in America," Trump wrote. He added that because of his policies, "Companies are investing TRILLIONS of Dollars" and that the U.S. will lead "a new Golden Age of Science."

Trump also congratulated Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra, stating: "We are strengthening our Economy and WINNING BIG! The Golden Age of America is HERE."
