Huaibei Mining's (SHA:600985) net profit attributable to shareholders jumped 20% annually to 1.24 billion yuan for the six months ended June 30, according to a Friday filing.

Earnings per share rose 21.1% to 0.46 yuan from 0.38 yuan.

Revenue rose 4% to 21.4 billion yuan from 20.61 billion yuan.

The company said coal, coke and ethanol prices and sales volumes increased, boosting revenue from its main businesses during the period.
