Canadian Solar (CSIQ) has hired Guggenheim Securities to help it evaluate strategic options for its Recurrent Energy unit, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The move comes as Recurrent, and the rest of the US solar industry, can no longer take advantage of certain clean energy tax credits for new projects, the sources told Bloomberg.
The companies did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
