Seatrium's (SGX:5E2) subsidiary, Seatrium Energy (Americas), has been charged under Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health Act in connection with a workplace incident that occurred in March 2022, according to a Friday filing.
The charges concern allegations of failing to take reasonably practicable measures to ensure employees' health and safety.
The company's current chief operating officer, Chor How Jat, who was the unit's managing director at the time and a former employee, has also been charged.
The subsidiary and individuals appeared before the State Courts on Aug. 27, with proceedings ongoing.
