Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI has started offering some major customers the option to pay based on whether its AI successfully completes tasks, The Information reported Sunday, citing an unnamed person familiar with the matter.
The report said the model, known as outcome-based pricing, could let customers pay based on results such as successfully handling customer-support interactions rather than simply paying for AI usage.
OpenAI did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
