Toyota Motor (TYO:7203) is exploring hydrogen to move auto parts and potentially power its plants amid rising fuel costs from the Iran war, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing Vice Chairman Koji Sato in a recent interview.
Sato confirmed that supplier logistics could also adopt the fuel in the future, the report said.
With poor sales of hydrogen cars in Japan, Toyota now shifts focus to commercial fleets and industrial applications, the report said.
