Navitas Semiconductor (NVTS) said Tuesday it will begin its first shipments of US-made 5th Generation GaNFast technology, in partnership with GlobalFoundries (GFS), in September.
The initial product family is expected to include 650 V gallium nitride field-effect transistors with RDS [ON] values of 11 milliohm, 18 milliohm, 50 milliohm, 120 milliohm, and 150 milliohm, the company said. The company developed its Gen 5 GaNFast semiconductors for production at its Vermont facility.
Navitas said that the first wafers are scheduled to ship in September, while internal samples and strategic customer samples are set for delivery in October and before the end of the year, respectively.
Navitas shares were down 4% in Tuesday's premarket activity.
