1311 ET - As Apple enters a new era under CEO John Ternus, new hardware will be the key to the next 5 years, according to D.A. Davidson in a note. Ternus is expected to unveil a foldable iPhone at Apple's launch event next week. That, coupled with recent price hikes across the company's portfolio, will likely drum up enough excitement and revenue to get Ternus' tenure off to a good start, analyst Gil Luria says. Looking ahead, though, investors and consumers will want more hardware innovations, such as a glass iPhone, AirPods with cameras and--potentially--smart glasses, he adds. "At the same time, AI may be starting to drive a new opportunity for Apple as an orchestrator and harness for AI models," Luria says.
