Stock futures were rising on Thursday as bond yields fell back, easing investors' worries about the recent run-up in borrowing costs.

Broadcom slid 3.6% ahead of the opening bell. The chip maker reported solid third-quarter results, but failed to ease concerns about data-center financing and major customer Google's design deal with rival Marvell.

Snowflake surged 24% after the software company smashed Wall Street's second-quarter targets. Snowflake remains on track to break even next year, CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy told Barron's.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise dropped 3.7% after the business hardware provider beat expectations for its third-quarter earnings, but not by enough to power shares higher after a 116% gain so far this year.

NetApp tumbled 8.2% after the data storage company topped analysts' estimates for its first-quarter earnings but reported a 35% decline in its free cash flow.

Five Below rose 4.2% after the discount retailer raised its guidance for the second time this year and beat Wall Street's second-quarter sales guidance.
