Cinemark (CNK) said Thursday it has recorded its highest domestic summer box office this year, measured from the first Friday in May through Labor Day.
The company said it has a robust lineup planned for the rest of the year, including "Resident Evil" and "Forgotten Island" this month; "Digger" in October; "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" in November; and "Dune: Part Three" and "Avengers: Doomsday" in December.
