United Parcel Service (UPS) said Monday it has appointed Nando Cesarone as chief global operations officer, effective Sept. 1.
Cesarone, who previously served as president of the company's US operations, will oversee global air network and gateways, surface transportation and automotive operations, among other duties.
Meanwhile, Matt Guffey was named chief US domestic officer. He will be responsible for the company's US businesses, including Small Package, Roadie and The UPS Stores.
The company also said it has created a chief global commercial strategy officer role. A search is ongoing to identify the executive who will take on the role.
