Amazon-backed (AMZN) Anthropic said late Tuesday it introduced Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Mythos 5.1, new AI models for coding, knowledge work and research.

The company said Fable 5.1 is generally available, while Mythos 5.1 is restricted to trusted-access programs for advanced cybersecurity and life-science applications.

Anthropic said Fable 5.1 will cost about 25% less than Fable 5 for typical token-based workloads, with savings of up to 45% for highly agentic tasks.

The company said it also introduced new privacy and safety measures, including customer-controlled data storage and improved safeguards designed to reduce false positives.
