Brazilian Rare Earths Commissions Metallurgical Pilot Plant in Brazil; Shares Up 7%

Brazilian Rare Earths (ASX:BRE) advanced its pre-feasibility study with the commissioning of its stage I metallurgical pilot plant in Bahia, Brazil, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company also secured 6.4 million Brazilian reais in co-funding from Senai Cimatec and its partner organizations, covering roughly 59% of the expected capital and operating costs for the stage II hydrometallurgical pilot plant, the filing said.

Detailed design is ongoing, with equipment anticipated to arrive on site in the fourth quarter of the year and commissioning slated for the second quarter of 2027, per the filing.

Shares rose nearly 7% in morning trade Tuesday.
