MeiG Smart Technology (HKG:3268, SHE:002881) agreed with Zhaoge Venture and Xingyuan Optronic to establish a Shanghai joint venture focused on optical communications and AI data-center applications, according to a bourse filing.

MeiG Smart will hold 70% of the venture, which will have registered capital of 100 million yuan.

Zhaoge Venture and Xingyuan Optronic will own 20% and 10%, respectively.

The JV will develop and manufacture optical devices, optical engines, and communication modules, including products for AI data centers.
