Yuexiu Property Company (HKG:0123) reported August sales of 5.6 billion yuan, a 1.7% increase from the comparable year-ago period, according to a Friday bourse filing.

The property developer said it sold a total gross floor area of 168,300 square meters during the month, a 0.6% drop from last year, and did not buy any new land in August.

So far this year, total sales stand at 61.2 billion yuan, down 16.2%, while total gross floor area sold was more than 2 million square meters, up 12.4%.
