Enbridge has appointed Michele Harradence as its next chief executive, effective at the start of 2027.
Harradence has led the Calgary, Alberta-based energy infrastructure and pipeline company's gas utilities since 2022, including guiding the integration of U.S. utility businesses. Before that, she was Enbridge's Gas Transmission and Midstream business' chief operating officer, based out of Houston.
She joined Enbridge in 2014 after having previously served in senior leadership roles with Shell Canada, the company said Tuesday.
Harradence succeeds Greg Ebel in the head role at Enbridge, as part of a CEO transition strategy. Ebel joined Enbridge in 2017 as chair of the board after leading Spectra Energy as its CEO. He became CEO of Enbridge in January 2023.
Ebel will remain a member of the board through his retirement date on Dec. 31, 2026, and will serve as an adviser from January until May 2027.
