PMET Resources (ASX:PMT) collected more than 2.5 tonnes of pollucite pegmatite from an outcrop at the Vega Zone of its Shaakichiuwaanaan Property in Canada, as part of its BerryPick program, which supports concentrate production and downstream initiatives, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The company said collection was carried out using very large diameter drill core of about 30 centimeters from a grid of shallow holes, offering advantages including larger fragment size and a fast, low-cost collection method.

Pollucite concentrate derived from the samples will support larger-scale downstream chemical testwork programs and industry product engagement, with sample collection to continue through autumn and ore sorting testwork anticipated to begin in the fourth quarter of the year, the filing added.
