Jinxin Fertility (HKG:1951) plans to develop a translational medicine platform focused mainly on women's health, building on its existing reproductive medicine and research capabilities.

The platform will initially focus on ovarian ageing, weakened ovarian function and other reproductive health conditions, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing. Assisted reproductive and related medical services will remain the company's core business.

Jinxin Fertility has entered into a research cooperation memorandum with Ji Weizhi to explore reproductive and developmental biology, regenerative medicine, disease models and translational medicine. The company has also signed a framework agreement with a research animal resources and breeding partner to explore research cohorts and preclinical research infrastructure.

Jinxin Fertility shares fell 2% in recent trade.
