OceanaGold (OGC) said Wednesday it has filed for approval of the Macraes phase 4 project to extend the reserve life of its Macraes gold mine into the late 2030s from 2032 currently.
The application, filed under New Zealand's Fast-track Approvals Act 2024, includes permitting for all activities under the current reserve mine plan, development of Southern Pit Innes Mills, and extensions of the Golden Point Underground, the company said.
OceanaGold said it expects the project to be fully permitted by mid-2027.
