Oprah Winfrey will produce and host a new immersive live show at Las Vegas's Sphere next spring, the latest high-profile booking for the technologically advanced entertainment venue.

The two-hour show, called "Oprah Winfrey's AHA," will feature the media personality and entrepreneur onstage, music by composer Max Richter and performances by guests including musician Jacob Collier and poet Ocean Vuong, according to a news release. The show is scheduled for a three-day run in April.

Winfrey, in a video announcement, described the show as "an immersive symphony of awe, wonder and joy."

Sphere, which cost $2.3 billion to build after going over budget, opened in 2023 with a residency by U2. The venue, the brainchild of New York Knicks owner James Dolan, found a successful formula pairing high-tech lights and sounds with a lineup of broadly appealing musical acts.

The venue has featured Phish, Dead & Company, the Eagles, Backstreet Boys and No Doubt, among others. Sphere also made a hit with an immersive reworking of the classic film "The Wizard of Oz."

Considered an audacious bet when the venue opened, the stock price of parent Sphere Entertainment has more than doubled in the last year.

It was the world's highest-grossing arena last year at $379 million on 1.7 million tickets sold, according to data firm Pollstar. The giant orbital venue has a 580,000-square-foot LED exterior and a screen inside that wraps around the audience.

Winfrey said she was inspired to create "AHA"-a reference to a lightbulb moment-after seeing the opening night of U2's stint at Sphere.

"Creating this experience has felt like the culmination of what I've spoken about and worked towards my entire life," she said.

Since "The Oprah Winfrey Show" ended in 2011, Winfrey has continued to wield influence in fields including publishing, politics and business.

In April, Winfrey's Harpo Entertainment announced a multiyear deal with Amazon.com for exclusive distribution and advertising rights to "The Oprah Podcast" with Amazon's podcast studio, Wondery. The deal also included rights to "The Oprah Winfrey Show" library and her "Oprah's Book Club" and "Oprah's Favorite Things" franchises.
