Entropy Neurodynamics (ASX:ENP) said all six treatment-resistant binge eating disorder patients in group 1 of its phase 2 trial of TRP-8803, an intravenously infused psilocin drug candidate, showed a "clinically meaningful improvement" in symptoms for the full 12-week follow-up period, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The company said 50% of patients experienced no binge-eating episodes during the entire 84-day follow-up period after completing two TRP-8803 infusions, with weekly binge-eating episodes 73% below pretreatment baseline at 12 weeks, substantially maintaining the 74% reduction observed at four weeks.

For group 2, the company will evaluate a shorter TRP-8803 infusion period, with top-line results expected in the fourth quarter of the year, the filing added.

The company's shares rose almost 3% in recent Monday trade.
