Osisko Gold Group (OGG) said Monday its board approved construction of the 100%-owned Cariboo Gold Project in British Columbia, targeting first gold in Q1 2029.
The company estimated a remaining go-forward capital obligation of 990 million Canadian dollars ($712.9 million) and expects a 30-month construction period.
Meanwhile, Trafigura agreed to invest $30 million and will purchase 100% of gold concentrate and dore for the first four years.
