Barton Gold Holdings (ASX:BGD) said its phase two reverse circulation resource upgrade drilling at the Tunkillia project in South Australia further confirmed new high-grade mineralization within a shallow area of "Starter Pits," according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

It encountered intercepts of 11 meters at 8.73 grams per tonne grade of gold from 68 meters as well as 21 meters at 3.62 g/t grade of gold from 57 meters.

The program could potentially increase the grade profile of mineralization for Tunkillia's upcoming prefeasibility study.

Its shares rose 2% in recent trading on Wednesday.
