Over 300 South Korean workers filed administrative claims against the U.S. government with nine federal agencies in relation to an immigration raid at Hyundai Motor's (KRX:005380) Georgia electric vehicle manufacturing site in September last year, CNN reported Tuesday, citing a lawyer representing the workers.

The first claim, filed by a worker referred to as Kim, asserted that the claimant was illegally detained in an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) site for seven days and is seeking damages for confiscated personal effects, lost work and psychological damage, the report said.

The raid was Homeland Security Investigations' largest sole-site operation, with 475 workers detained, the report cited authorities as saying.

Hyundai and the federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, ICE, Customs and Border Protection and the Departments of Justice and Labor, did not immediately respond to MT Newswire's requests for comment.

Shares of the automaker fell more than 1% in recent trade.
