Oceana Lithium (ASX:OCN) said the results from assaying the core from historical drilling doubled the area of known rare earth elements mineralization to over 4.5 kilometers squared within the carbonatite complex at the Serra Negra project in Brazil, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The historical drilling did not target rare earth elements, and it included intercepts of 122 meters at 1.2% grade of total rare earth oxide from 50 meters as well as 26 meters at 1.4% grade of total rare earth oxide and 0.63% grade of niobium pentoxide from 127 meters to end-of-hole. All 68 available historical drill holes have been re-sampled.
