Lockheed Martin received an $871.2 million contract from the Navy to fund continued work on sites for fighter jets.
The amount is an add-on to a previous contract to provide additional capacity for support equipment under the F-35 Lightning II site activation and hardware non-recurring sustainment effort.
The contract provides initial sustainment supplies and services in support of establishing and activating land-based and at-sea operation sites for F-35 jets.
The sites are for the Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy and foreign military sales customers.
About 90% of the work will be done in El Segundo, Calif., with the other 10% happening in Fort Worth, Texas. It is expected to be completed in February 2031.
