The Korea-U.S. Strategic Investment Corp is looking to issue up to $2 billion in bonds, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The issuance could be the first dollar-denominated issuance under an investment pledge by the U.S. The organization is still selecting the first project out of the $350-billion investment package, the report said.

The organization supervises implementation of South Korean investments in U.S. projects, the report said.

South Korea's finance ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
