Moody's Ratings has raised its outlook on Greece to positive from stable, as the nation works to reduce its government debt obligations. Moody's said it sees signs sustained structural reforms are gradually easing longstanding constraints on investment and resource allocation. In addition, the nation's growth model has become more investment-led and increasingly supportive of productivity, Moody's added. Greece's debt to GDP ratio, which peaked at 209.4% in 2020, fell to 154.2% in 2024 and to 146.1% in 2025. Moody's said it expected a further decline, to 120%, by 2030. Moody's also affirmed the country's Baa3 long-term issuer and senior unsecured debt ratings.
