Technology giant Microsoft plans to double the number of data centers in Taiwan from two to four, with the additional capacity expected to come online soon, Taiwan News said in a report on Monday quoting Microsoft Taiwan General Manager Sean Pien.

The data center expansion is expected to help Microsoft clear local bottlenecks and regulatory requirements.

The number of services offered through Microsoft's Taiwan data centers has also increased from more than 70 to over 200, Pien said.
