Patronus Resources (ASX:PTN) reported "encouraging" results from first-pass reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Burnside North and Grove Hill target areas within its Pine Creek project in the Northern Territory, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The results were up to 44 meters at 0.76 grams per tonne gold from 96 meters, with immediate follow-up drilling planned as the hole ended in mineralization.

Remaining assay results from Burnside North and Grove Hill are expected in the fourth quarter, with drilling ongoing, the filing added.
