Stock futures are little changed on Sunday ahead of a new week that features a long-anticipated meeting between President Donald Trump and his counterpart from China, Xi Jinping.

Just after 6 p.m. Eastern time, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were up 0.1%, as were futures for the Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500. Oil futures were up 0.9% to just under $97 a barrel.

Stocks wrapped up their trading week Friday with the worst week since March for the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The index fell for a third week in a row, marking its largest three-week decline since March 27.

The S&P 500 ended the week ticking 0.2% higher, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.4% on Friday and finished higher for the week.

The Trump-Xi summit takes place Thursday in Washington, as world leaders gather in New York for the United Nations General Assembly meeting. Trump is expected to speak at the gathering on Tuesday and meet with Gulf leaders.

The U.S. and China have been in a holding pattern trade-wise since last year, with some tariffs still in effect, but no further escalation in rhetoric.
