Coeur Mining (CDE) said Tuesday that accelerated exploration programs at its New Afton and Rainy River operations are unlocking significant potential to extend mine life at the recently acquired Canadian assets.

Coeur expects to invest a record $158 million in exploration in 2026, including about $24 million at New Afton and $18 million at Rainy River.

At New Afton, drilling at the K-Zone deposit has extended mineralization by more than 300 meters beyond its original footprint, with recent growth mainly to the west and southeast.

Exploration will shift to eastern areas, with an underground drift expected to provide access to test up to 450 meters of additional strike potential.
