Top cryptocurrencies fell Wednesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) dropping below the $85,000 Level.

The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell 3.4% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 shed 0.9%, the S&P 500 lost 0.8%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.6%.

Bitcoin fell 2% to $84,527, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 9.3% to $46.85 billion.

Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, declined 2.7% to $2,677.

XRP (XRP-USD) lost 5.2%, BNB (BNB-USD) slumped 2.4%, and Solana (SOL-USD) shed 2.9%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) dropped 7.3%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) decreased 5.3%.

The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 2.3% in the past 24 hours to $2.87 trillion, with trading volume rising 11.2% to $130.57 billion.
