Boeing (BA) said Wednesday that Biman Bangladesh Airlines ordered 11 commercial airplanes to expand and modernize its fleet.

The deal covers five 787-10 and six 737-8 aircraft, and follows a previous 14-jet purchase earlier this year, bringing the carrier's total order book to 25 planes, the company said.

The new aircraft deliver 20% to 25% higher fuel efficiency than the models they replace, Boeing said.
