Singapore's manufacturing output increased 15.4% year on year in August, accelerating from a revised 6.9% increase a month prior, according to data released by the Singapore Economic Development Board on Monday.
The growth beat the Trading Economics consensus forecast of 6%.
Manufacturing output fell 0.5% on a month-on-month basis, reversing from a 2.3% expansion.
It missed the Trading Economics consensus forecast of 1% growth.
