Bellevue Gold (ASX:BGL) will sell gold from its Bellevue project in Western Australia for the refurbishment of the St Paul's Cathedral in London, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company said it was selected as the gold supplier after a renowned gold specialist and an adviser to the cathedral visited the mine site, with Bellevue's ability to produce "green gold" being a key factor in its selection.
The regilding is expected to require more than 50 ounces of gold, but the final amount is yet to be determined, the company said.
