WhiteRock Lithium (ASX:WLC) confirmed the continuity of the Spodumene Mountain lithium-caesium-tantalum pegmatite system within the Banana project in Canada, with spodumene-bearing pegmatite found in each of the 10 newly reported drill holes, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Spodumene is a mineral made of lithium aluminum silicate that serves as a major global source of lithium.
Visual observations from recent drilling showed that drill hole BL26-044 intersected three significant pegmatite intervals with estimated spodumene abundances of 25% to 35%, the filing said.
First assay results are anticipated within three to six weeks, per the filing.
