China Merchants Energy Shipping (SHA:601872) subsidiary Hong Kong Ming Wah Shipping signed a 25-year shipping agreement with an unnamed iron ore shipping company for at least $2.8 billion, according to a Wednesday after-hours filing with the Shanghai bourse.

The shipping company will use six very large ore carriers as part of the Simandou project, the filing said.
