KBR filed to officially spin off its mission technology solutions business, which is expected to operate as an independent company called Trinzic.

The separation is expected to happen in January 2027.

KBR has previously said it expects Trinzic to employ 18,000 workers. It will have more than $5 billion in revenue and a portfolio spanning integrated air and missile defense, space exploration and human performance.

Earlier this month, KBR named Michael LaRouche as the designated chief executive of Trinzic.
